Daniel Smith Days is a two day fall festival that celebrates the life of Daniel Smith and Historic Rock Castle in the 18th century. The place is Tennessee and the time is before Statehood (1780-1794). It is when the frontier was full of danger from Indians and many people died from these attacks.
General Daniel Smith was a surveyor, Revolutionary War hero, U.S. Senator, Indian Negotiator and original owner and builder of their family home Historic Rock Castle.
The location of Daniel Smith Days Colonial Festival is on the grounds of
Rock Castle. It is located on the banks of scenic Old Hickory Lake in Hendersonville, Tennessee close to Nashville.
